1886 Morgan Silver Dollar NGC MS64 Toned Superb NGC No Bar Code Fatty VAM 8? PQ

1886 Morgan Silver Dollar – Very PQ Coin – Beautifully Toned Coin with Rich, Full, Thick all original luster. Coin is housed in an older generation NGC No Bar Code Fatty and has been graded NGC MS64.

Previous owner or dealer has also attributed this as VAM 8 (Far Date, High 6). After comparing the die characteristics to VAM World, I am pretty sure this is confirmed as VAM 8 but I cannot confirm with 100% certainty.

Superb eye appeal with negligible contact marks in the prime focal areas, the cheek, fields and even in the secondary areas there are really no major or distracting hits to point out. Strike is full or nearly full and the luster is superb. Looks like this coin would have an excellent chance at a grade up or at least a plus but there is also value in the old holder so I will leave that decision to the next owner!
