Design:

The bold bear stands on a snow mound in the Artic on the coin’s reverse. The privy paw print is located to the right of the bear. The sun rays behind the animal lend texture and complexity to the coin. The coin’s purity, “9999,” is displayed above the polar bear. The words “Fine Silver” and “1 Oz Argent Pur” are also inscribed on the top part of the coin. Finally, the issuing country and year of issuance are listed at the bottom of the coin. The “GL” symbol represents the coin artist Glen Loates’s initials.

The obverse has a design comparable to that of the Silver Maple Leaf coin and other Canadian bullion. The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is in the center, surrounded by the face value and the queen’s name.

Canadian Maple Leafs have the distinction of being known as the purest silver bullion coin having four 9s or 99.99% sure (0.9999) vs the more typically seen 99.9% (0.999) on almost all other bullion coins and bars. Beautiful example in a grade that can’t get better.
